Link Galway, a respected non-profit social enterprise, has been a steadfast presence in Galway City since its inception in 1994. Dedicated to fostering inclusivity and providing meaningful employment opportunities, they have been a beacon of support for individuals with intellectual disabilities. With a commitment to quality and community, Link Galway serves up wholesome food and freshly baked goods daily, delighting both local businesses and cherished customers alike. Their café not only satisfies appetites but also serves as a platform for empowerment and skill development. Currently, Link Galway employs sixteen individuals with intellectual disabilities and nurtures fourteen trainees at their culinary skills training centre. Many of these trainees are on the path to gaining employment through the café, further solidifying Link Galway's role as a catalyst for positive change. Expanding their offerings, Link Galway recently launched a bakery and catering business, poised to complement their already established café. This exciting endeavour has been made possible through the support of their funding partners, Rethink Ireland, Ability West and HSE, marking another milestone in Link Galway's journey towards a more inclusive and vibrant community.
